The Hum Bugs (Power Pop)

You just have to love my pick for this week. The Hum Bugs, a slick sounding band out of Minneapolis Minnesota, is a real treat. For
starters, their lead singer reminds me a bit of Michael Stipes from REM.
And at times, the musical composition, and yes I am going out on a
limb here a bit, sounds like something I would expect to hear from the
likes of Sondre Lerche off his Two Way Monologs CD. It’s all in how the
Hum Bugs switch moods at times in their music that gave me this Lerchesk
impression. And even though there are some critics who will think I am
all wet for making this comparison, I leave it to you to check the Hum
Bugs out for yourself.
